TBIS GHANA

PARTNER ORGANISATION.

The association THE BOOK IN SCHOOL, based in Switzerland, founded its partner organisation "THE BOOK IN SCHOOL Ghana Limited By Guarantee" in Ghana in 2021.

To ensure sustainability and, in the long run, self-reliance and national owenership, it is important that the project is increasingly supported by the local community. THE BOOK IN SCHOOL Ghana Limited By Guarantee is an important step in this direction.

Its organisational form a Company Limited By Guarantee also allows for the formal recognition of the TBIS teacher training by the National Teaching Council of Ghana.

«THE BOOK IN SCHOOL is particularly relevant to Ghana as it provides the solutions to the challenges our students face with reading and text comprehension. The impact of the project is incontrovertible: 90% of the students greatly improve their reading skills within two months.  The evidence demands a verdict and that verdict calls on all of us to support TBIS and raise the next generation of students  who will read with clarity and insight, and be confident and competent communicators.»
